“Black Babies Are In Danger”: Milwaukee billboards

focus on racial disparity of Wisconsin’s abortions

Thirteen billboards placed throughout the city of Milwaukee, beginning today and running for a
month, are highlighting the high numbers of black babies aborted every year. 

“Wisconsin is the eighth lowest state nationally in the number of abortions, but the racial disparity
in its numbers far exceeds the national trends,” said Virginia Zignego, communications director
of Pro-Life Wisconsin. “In Wisconsin, 6.2% of the population is black, yet 24% of all state
abortions are on African-Americans, which is four times the representation.”

The billboards aim to raise awareness about abortion, Planned Parenthood’s history of racism
and the continuing eugenics movement in Wisconsin. The campaign directs the public to
TooManyAborted.com/WI and was created by Ryan Bomberger, an African-American who is
the Chief Creative Officer of The Radiance Foundation. 

“We are exposing the myth of the ‘unwanted’ child and the destruction of hope and possibility
that abortion brings to the black community,” explained Bomberger. “There are better, life-affirming
alternatives, especially adoption. In this day and age, with the most advanced technology,
information access, and resources ever available in human history, abortion should never be
the solution we resort to.” 

This campaign is championed by national African-American civil rights leaders, including the
niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Dr. Alveda King.

Two billboards are running. The first states “Black Children Are in Danger;” click here to view.

Exponentially, black children are more endangered by death by abortion than any other
demographic in America.

“In 2010, Planned Parenthood celebrated 75 years of existence in Wisconsin. Those 75 years
have been financed by taxpayer dollars and the brutal killing of innocent unborn children,” said
Zignego. “Despite its massive failure to reduce pregnancy rates, unplanned pregnancies, and
exponentially high STD rates, Planned Parenthood is rewarded with lavish amounts of
government funding and unconditional support from a community most ravaged by its mission –
to reduce ‘unwanted’ populations.”

The Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery is a research "institute," a partnership between UW-Madison, the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and John and Tashia Morgridge, who are private donors. Read more about the research facility here. Unfortunately, the website fails to mention that some of the research will involve embryonic stem cells. We are opposed to the killing of embryonic children, which fully taints an otherwise praise-worthy endeavor. Pro-Life Wisconsin and Vigil for Life of Madison will hold a silent picket of the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery's grand opening ceremony. Back To Top   Paralyzed man: My life is not worth living   On Sunday, November 28, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel [MJS] profiled Dan Crews, a paralyzed man who, simply put, wants his ventilator removed so he can die. "I feel like I'm the only person in the country who does not have a way or an option to kill myself," [Crews] said. The MJS article is a sympathetic look at assisted suicide and euthanasia. It is a sad reflection of the world we live in – where our value is not determined by the fact that we have an everlasting soul, but by how enjoyable our life is in the short term. Back To Top   Leukemia patient completely cured with cord blood stem cells     From LifeSiteNews: Doctors associated with the German umbilical cord blood bank Vita 34 say that they have cured a child’s leukemia completely using an infusion of stem cells from umbilical cord blood. The procedure was reportedly performed in 2005 on a four-year-old girl whose chemotherapy treatment had failed and who had a prognosis of only three months to live.  The procedure was possible because the parents had decided to preserve their child’s umbilical cord blood at the time of birth. After continuous monitoring of the child for five years now, with no sign of leukemia cells in her blood, doctors say that they have confirmed that the treatment worked. “Seventy-five months have passed and we can speak of a cure with certainty,” said Eberhard Lampeter of Vita 34. According to the Chilean newspaper La Tercera, this is the first case in the world of a child cured of leukemia by her own stem cells. Back To Top 2,000 aborted babies found in Thailand temple From The New York Times, Nov. 21: For the past week, the Thai public has been grappling with the implications of an admission from one of the temple’s undertakers that he had been secretly storing the fetuses in the vaults of the crematorium after the temple’s furnace broke down. When he also began burying them in a pit, the overpowering stench drew complaints from neighbors and led to the discovery of the fetuses. nder Thai law, only abortions of pregnancies that result from incest or rape or endanger the lives of the mothers are legal. The events have reopened a debate in Thailand over the legality and morality of abortion. On Saturday, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said, “Longstanding social values must be corrected.” The undertaker and a woman who acknowledged that she had delivered the fetuses to the temple declared that they had done no wrong. Two undertakers, Suchart Phonmee, 38, and Suthep Chabangbon, 56, have been charged with crimes related to the concealing of the fetuses. They said they had had no choice but to store them because they did not want to dispose of them like rubbish. “Actually,” Mr. Suchart, “said this condemnation should go to both the parents of the aborted babies and the ones who performed the abortions.” Click here to read more.
