The Christmas season remains, but Christmas Day is just about over. All the hustling and bustling and rushing and preparing, and so quickly, the most sacred day of the year comes and goes.
God willing, we’ll all be together to share the joy next year.
Come the evening hours of Christmas, I like to hear one particular Christmas song from my favorite artist, Elvis Presley. Years and years after his death, the King continues to impress. From the latest Mr. Music column by Jerry Osborne:
"On December 16, 1957, when 'Elvis' Christmas Album' began a four week residency at No. 1, it marked the first time a Christmas LP (long play) topped the charts on Christmas day.
It would also be the last time for that rare amalgamation. It never happened again!"
That was 1957.
In 1971, Elvis recorded another Christmas album....
The LP included this perfect song for tonight.
