A Very Limited Malt Whisky Release

You may remember last year we released our Test Batch Bourbon. It was sold out on a cold Saturday afternoon in March. This year we're releasing our Test Batch Malt Whisky. If you're not familiar with the term malt whisky, it refers to the fact that the whisky is produced from malted barley (this is similar to Scotch).

Because last years sale was so overwhelming, we decided to sell our Malt Whisky a little different this year. We're holding a release party this Saturday April 2nd. If it's anything like last years sale, there won't be any available Monday. This year we are selling a ticket online that entitles you to a bottle. This ticket limits you to one bottle only and you may only purchase a maximum of two tickets. This malt is only available at our tasting room- not available in stores- we just don't have enough. Tickets for the release party are $55 which includes one bottle, complimentary tasting glass, product sample and light appetizers. Price includes sales tax but does not include ticket service fees.

ORDER TICKET HERE- On Sale NOW!

You MUST have a ticket to attend this event!

About the Whisky-
Only 216 (375ml) bottles were produced. We call it our triple barrel Malt because it was aged in three different woods.

The technical details-
  • Only 216- (375ml) bottles were produced.
  • Bottled at 92 proof (46% Alcohol by Volume)
  • Each bottle signed and numbered by distiller Doug MacKenzie and distillery founder Guy Rehorst
  • Triple barreled- Aged in new charred oak barrels, then a used bourbon barrel and finished in a French Oak barrel that previously held Pinot Noir.
  • When this is gone it's gone for good. We'll make more whisky but it won't exactly be like this.

Sale Details-
Last year we didn't anticipate the demand for our Test Batch Bourbon (and ended up with a lot of people waiting in the cold and many turned away) so this year we're doing things a little differently.
Bottles will be pre-sold through our ticketing system, if you don't have a ticket you won't be admitted to the event. No rush to get to the distillery, if you have a ticket you will get a bottle anytime you show up after 7PM.

It happens at our Distillery in Milwaukee. All the fun begins at 7:00 and goes until 11:00. Plenty of free parking! Hope to see you there!

The Event-
Pick up your bottle
Enjoy a sample tasting of the spirit (so you don't have to open your own bottle right away)
Your very own Glencairn spirit tasting glass
Cash bar where you can enjoy cocktails and complimentary light appetizers.   Tickets for the event are $55 including sales tax (but not including ticket service fees)

When: Saturday April 2nd (This Saturday!)
Time: 7:00PM to 11:00PM
Where: Great Lakes Distillery- 616 W Virginia St. Milwaukee
