Planned Parenthood Wants to Bring RU 486 Web-cam Abortions to Towns All Over Wisconsin But You Can Help Stop Them Now

Wisconsin Right To Life

Planned Parenthood (PP) wants to bring abortion to your town using web-cam technology, piloted in Iowa and now being used in Minnesota.   But you can prevent this with your gift to help us pass the Woman's Protection Act.

Here's how a web-cam abortion works.   Jane is six weeks pregnant and she goes to the PP clinic-say in Eau Claire.  Jane is placed in front of a web-cam where an abortionist is also on a similar web-cam except the abortionist could be sitting in Chicago or Des Moines. After questioning Jane, the abortionist pushes a button at her remote location and a  drawer opens at Jane's location.  Inside the drawer are the abortion drugs, RU 486 and a labor-inducing drug.  The abortionist watches Jane take the drugs.  Jane never receives a physical examination from the abortionist.

Fortunately, we're working to stop PP's irresponsible web-cam abortion plan.  Wisconsin Right to Life is leading efforts to prohibit abortions without an in-person physical examination as a provision of the Woman's Protection Act.

RU 486 is not the morning after pill.   RU 486 is a two drug regimen administered to a woman diagnosed as between five and nine weeks of pregnancy with the specific intent to cause an abortion.  Through April of 2011, the FDA reports 2207 adverse events related to the use of RU 486, including 14 deaths.  That's why this plan is so dangerous.

PP's plan could bring dangerous web-cam abortion to Delavan, Beaver Dam, Ladysmith and other towns where abortion doesn't currently exist.

You can help us stop web-cam abortions from coming to your town with your gift today.  Your support will be used to fund our work to pass the Woman's Protection Act

In Life,

Barbara L. Lyons, Executive Director
