State Senator Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin) represents parts of four counties: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Racine, and Walworth. Her Senate District 28 includes New Berlin, Franklin, Greendale, Hales Corners, Muskego, Waterford, Big Bend, the town of Vernon and parts of Greenfield, East Troy, and Mukwonago. Senator Lazich has been in the Legislature for more than a decade. She considers herself a tireless crusader for lower taxes, reduced spending and smaller government.

Wisconsin Tax Freedom Day April 21, 2012

The Tax Foundation released its annual report about Tax Freedom Day. Tax Freedom Day is the date calculated annually by the Tax Foundation as the day taxpayers will have earned enough money to pay this year’s tax obligations at the federal, state and local levels. 

Wisconsin’s Tax Freedom Day is April 21, 2012, giving Wisconsin a ranking of number 10. Connecticut comes in number one with Tax Freedom Day May 5, 2012. Tennessee ranks 50 with Tax Freedom Day March 31, 2012. The average Tax Freedom Day is April 17, 2012.
