Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

UPDATES & NOTICES
MEIJER PROPOSAL - The Council postponed action on 8/21 for the Meijer store final approvals, basically, to allow the developer time to resolve the Department of Transportation (DOT) approval on the Puetz road access, to obtain required state and federal permits, and for the District Representative Steve Olson to be present. Alderman Olson was not able to be in attendance due to prior commitments but shared several points with Mayor Taylor via email for the record. By law, government officials are required to assure the public the opportunity for input and comment on certain decision-making proceedings. Typically, state and federal public notice/comment periods are 30???days. Until public notices close, projects are subject to change. For this project, the outstanding and overriding permits (outside of City authority) are related to major aspects of the project such as street configuration, ingress and egress, traffic flow, wetland and floodplain fill, and the position and configuration of the building.
SPORTS COMPLEX PROPOSAL - Council review contingent on higher-agency permits continues. The Rock, a multi-use sports and entertainment complex proposed at the current
RECYCLING CONTRACT - Based on Council approval, Johns’ Disposal will be putting a covered recycle container program into place. The contract requires residents to fill out a form for the selection of the smaller 48-gallon carts. This form will be included within the
WATER RATES -
1st QUARRY MONITORING COMMITTEE MEETING - An ordinance adopted at a previous Council meeting served to reinstate the Quarry Monitoring Committee. The first meeting will be held September 13 at 6:30 PM in the lower level conference room at City hall. Thank you to those selected to serve and we are grateful for all those who filled out volunteer applications! Now that we have additional applications on file, I hope to see more new appointments for additional participation at the local level.
