Oooh, Baby!
When we found out Baby was going to make three, there was never a question what the nursery theme would be. Since we weren’t finding out the gender via ultrasound, it had to be neutral. It also had to be Disney. Mickey and Minnie to be exact. I always said that our baby was going to be born with two sets of ears; one set would be round and black, perched right on top of baby’s head. I wasn’t far off. Kyla (thanks to Mommy & Daddy, mostly) has loved The Mouse since Day One. I have many photos of her snuggling with her huge stuffed Mickey & Minnie friends and she recognized those famous ears at a very young age.
Almost four years ago, I didn’t have the luxury of specific Disney Décor for nurseries. I had to do it myself. I think though, I managed a fair amount of Mouse theming thanks to some savvy shopping, a trip to Walt Disney World a few months before she was born, and of course the incredible talent of the muralist who painted the large Mickey’s “parts” on her wall:

Today in our inbox I received the following email: “Free shipping with our newest arrival!” Yep. Disney finally caught up to my four-year-old dreams and has launched a babies-only retail line.
Wow. Adorable stuff, to say the least. Almost makes me want to have another baby.
Oh, that thud you heard? That was just my husband falling over as he read that last sentence. I’ll be by to pick him up shortly. As soon as I’m done watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with Kyla.
