This past August for Elvis Week, I blogged about my own tasty tribute to The King. I sincerely hope you’ve tried the recipe at least once.
Today is another significant day on the Elvis Calendar: on this day in 1935 Elvis Aaron Presley made his most important debut… his birth. To say he has impacted the lives of millions of people is not an exaggeration. He remains one of the highest earning celebrities even after death. He is instantly recognized by only his first name. And whether you prefer the “young & skinny” Elvis or the more mature one, if you’re a fan you’re a fan.
I don’t know of anyone who doesn’t recognize the contributions Elvis has made to music, other musicians and pop culture. He donated huge sums of money to charities. And today, the city of Memphis officially recognized his amazing gifts to, literally, the world.
