Kevin Fischer is a veteran broadcaster, the recipient of over 150 major journalism awards from the Milwaukee Press Club, the Wisconsin Associated Press, the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the Wisconsin Bar Association, and others. He has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for over three decades. A longtime aide to state Senate Republicans in the Wisconsin Legislature, Kevin can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, "InterCHANGE," on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their lovely young daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

I’m not that particular when it comes to recognizing cat breeds. If it’s not a Persian, Siamese or this creepy creature I don’t know what it is. And honestly I don’t really care.
On the other paw, there’s nothing I love more than recognizing dog breeds. It’s a continuing challenge to me to learn more and more. When I watch the annual dog shows, I’m so proud when I know names of less-common breeds. Everyone knows a Golden Retriever, Beagle or Standard Poodle. But when I can call out “Petits Bassets Griffons Vendeen!” before the announcers do, I feel a sense of accomplishment.
A crazy, lofty goal I have for myself is to someday be able to name every single breed in the Westminster Kennel Club and American Kennel Club. (This, coming from a girl who had difficulty in grade school memorizing the capitols to all 50 states!) I don’t know why I have this ambition, I just do.
