Halo Soap, a Cudahy business that offers natural handmade soaps, lotions, lip balms, toiletries, and gifts, is expanding to Bay View. The new location, 2227 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., is expected to open in late August. The storefront most recently housed Crossroads Botanica and Wellness Center, and before that, Chartreuse clothing boutique.
It’s a fun, trendy area,” said Halo Soap owner Stacie Cherubini, a Bay View resident. She opened her Cudahy store, 5601 S. Pennsylvania Ave., January 2010, but she believes adding a Bay View store will be advantageous because of the foot traffic on Kinnickinnic Avenue. She will keep the Cudahy location, which is in a little industrial/commercial strip adjacent to the Wisconsin Air National Guard 128th Air Refueling Wing property. She said the Cudahy site has ample workspace for her to make her products.
