In Green Bay, Walmart wants zoning changes made so existing buildings at a site can be razed and a superstore can be built.
Jim Schmitt is the mayor of Green Bay. I know a lot about him…good guy.
The idea of a Walmart superstore in his downtown?
Schmitt doesn’t like it.
I suppose Schmitt could play the Franklin game and throw up all kinds of hoops and obstacles to make it just about impossible or no longer desirable for Walmart to continue with its plans.
Schmitt says he has a better alternative.
You’re not going to believe this.
Schmitt actually has an option.
He’s not flat out saying NO and that’s it.
He’s not standing in the corner and holding his breath until his face turns blue.
He’s thinking outside the box.
I think they call that vision.
So Schmitt says no Walmart, but instead, how about something else?
What is that something else?
Hold on to your hats and seats. Again, you are not going to believe it.
There’s no way.
But Schmitt is proposing something so unthinkable...
Well, who the devil in their right mind would ever think this is a good idea?
