I said to myself, this woman, I've gotta see

In the news business, it’s called a “tease,” a short promo about a story aimed to draw interest.

This just may be the ultimate “tease.”

“Woman fired because she’s too hot."

Now unless you’re dead, an earthquake couldn’t keep you from wanting more information.

Here is the young 33-year old mother who was fired from a bank.

Debrahlee Lorenzana: Too Sexy for Bank?

She's Debrahlee Lorenzana, a name that not so subtly implies she's probably devastating.

The Village Voice puts it bluntly, "Everything about Debrahlee Lorenzana is hot. Even her name sizzles. At five-foot-six and 125 pounds, with soft eyes and flawless bronze skin, she is J.Lo curves meets Jessica Simpson rack meets Audrey Hepburn elegance—a head-turning beauty."

CBS News reports, "Debrahlee Lorenzana claims in court papers that she was forced out of her Manhattan Citibank job because she was too good looking, reports the New York Post. According to the paper, Lorenzana says she was subject to 'improper comments' and was reprimanded for dressing sexily - when all she was doing was dressing professionally."

Maybe Lorenzana’s job performance was lacking. She says she was told she wasn’t signing up enough customers. But c’mon, I just find that hard to believe.

If Lorenzana’s a distraction, and that I do believe (and that's not a criticism), then whose fault it is? Hers or the bank employee who can’t keep his /her mind on the job?

It’s a sad commentary that in today’s age, a young woman is fired because she’s attractive, well-dressed and works hard to be professional where others keep their jobs while looking slovenly, having a crummy attitude, and I might also say, possessing few people and communications skills.

Think Lorenzana will have difficulty finding employment? Yeh, that bank sure showed her.

UPDATE: Lorenzana has found another job, at another bank. But is she talking too much?
