Magazines geared towards women excel at those front page teasers that hook females into grabbing and purchasing that issue. The promises of terrific advice are just too good to pass up.

For example, here’s the latest cover of Glamour magazine. Note the teases about workouts and impressing your boss...

July 2010

Look great, dress great, feel great in all kinds of new ways each and every month right at the checkout line.

Women's Health recently upped the ante, promoting “6 Ways to Feel Sexier in Your Skin, Everyday tips to rebuild your body confidence and feel beautiful and sexy.” In "Look Better Naked," Michele Promaulayko suggests a six -week regiment doing certain activities in your birthday suit. One of them is dining:

Share dinner in the nude

Next to sex, eating is the most sensual thing we do. It engages every sense—even hearing, as we crunch into a crisp apple, say, or sip a spoonful of soup. A romantic dinner is often the prelude to lovemaking. (Or even a part of it, for some couples!) It sustains us and is vital to our very well-being. And yet, we almost always do it clothed—for obvious reasons, of course. But, for the purposes of becoming more comfortable in the nude, there's much to be said for pairing nakedness with a delicious meal, says (Barbara) Keesling (sex therpist). "We used to do it all the time in sex therapy school!" she admits.

Max out the experience

Serve finger foods: You'll feel considerably less awkward eating cheese and crackers with your hands than you would juggling utensils or sawing through a lamb chop with a steak knife while naked.

Make the meal pretty:

Simple fare is fine, but you want it to be pleasing to look at. Don't just slap those crackers on a paper plate—arrange them on a platter, with a selection of luscious fruit, perhaps. An assortment of sushi can make for an ideal nude meal: It's colorful and filling.

Dine picnic style:

Spread out a big, soft, stain-resistant (you don't want to have to be fussy about spills) blanket on the floor and enjoy your feast there. Keep the lighting low; you'll feel less self-conscious. Candlelight or the light from a fire will cast flattering shadows on your skin.

Eat mindfully:

"Take your time; eat in slow motion," says Lori Bucklye, Ph.D., of the Center for Relationship, Marriage, and Sex Therapy in Pasadena, Calif. "Look at the food, smell it; be aware of the way it feels in your mouth, and the flavors it leaves behind." Make every bite a sensuous experience.

Wondering what to put on the nude-night menu? Choose these foods that can energize you, trigger your libido.......

I’ve written many times that I am not a prude. But I have to wonder how many couples are dining in the nude, that’s #1, and # 2, dining in the nude because she wants to feel better about how she looks sans everything.

This is serious stuff, folks.

There are some in what was once a free America who honestly believe a person can’t be naked in his or her own home (The accused was later found not guilty).Yet we have Women’s Health and sex experts saying, you go girl, if you need to jack up that self-esteem, you just take it off, take it …….all off, starting with the appetizer right through to dessert.

And let’s be honest. This could be dangerous. Sharp cutlery, candles, hot sauces, et al.

I am not anti-romance, fellow disciples of amour. I am merely suggesting somewhat diplomatically that this idea just might not be for everyone.

This past week, Michele Promaulayko, editor in chief of Women's Health and author of the book, "Look Better Naked!" appeared on the CBS Morning Show. As a public service of This Just In…, we present this installment how you can look better naked by tonight.
