Senate to Consider The Latest Job Killer

Before the Memorial Day Recess, Congress snuck another disastrous bill through.

The House passed the American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act (HR 4213), which, among other items, raises $56 billion in taxes on small businesses and on our economy.

The bill is expected to hit the Senate floor in the coming days.

We urge you to email your Senators asking them to oppose more taxes on small business.

When will they learn that over-taxing job creators only makes the recession last longer?

This bill is bad, specifically, the $56 billion tax increase that will hurt economic growth, including greater burdens on the struggling real estate industry, discouraging investment, and killing jobs.

Click here today to email your Senators to ask them to oppose this bill.

These tax increases will hinder job creation, decrease the competitiveness of American businesses, and deter economic growth.

Small and large business face steep tax hikes unless Congress kills this "job-killer" of a legislation.

With your support, we can make sure the Senate opposes H.R. 4213.

Sincerely,

Bill Miller
Senior Vice President and National Political Director
U.S. Chamber of Commerce
