It's Friday night. Time to unwind with our regular Friday night feature on This Just In.
The weekend has finally arrived.
The sun has set.
The evening sky has erupted.
Let's put controversy and provocative blogs aside for the rest of this work week and smooth our way into Saturday and Sunday.
Tonight, talented trumpeter Chris Botti and friends.
From Botti's official web site;
"Since the release of his 2004 critically acclaimed CD When I Fall In Love, Chris Botti (pronounced boat-tee) has become the largest selling American jazz instrumental artist. His success has crossed over to audiences usually reserved for pop music and his ongoing association with PBS has led to four #1 Jazz Albums, as well as multiple Gold, Platinum & Grammy Awards.
Over the past three decades, he has recorded and performed with the best in music; including Frank Sinatra, Sting, Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Andrea Bocelli, Joshua Bell and Aerosmith's own Steven Tyler.
Hitting the road for 250 plus days per year, Chris and his incredible band have performed with many of the finest symphonies, at some of the world's most prestigious venues, including performances at the World Series and Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony"
Botti will perform at the Marcus Ampitheatre Friday, July 16 as part of Festa Italiana. Here are some memorable concert selections from a stop in
Let's get started.
Next, a classic, timeless love song from the 60’s.
This time, Botti is joined by a young lovely he knows "Everyone in the world has a crush on."
Yep, I think I've got a crush on her as well.
Katharine McPhee was named one of the 100 Most Beautiful People of 2007 by People magazine. She was voted No. 2 on FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in The World of 2007, and was also No. 47 on Maxim's Hot 100 Women of 2007.
It's natural McPhee would be paired with Botti who People Magazine voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in 2004.
That's it for this week.
Have a great weekend.
For now, it's simply....
