On Saturday, July 31, Mark, Kobi, Erica and I had the privilege of going to the Milwaukee Zoo compliments of Adoption Resources of Wisconsin.
The Annual Adoption Celebration was from 11:30 to 1:30, but you could stay at the zoo as long as you wanted to. They served lunch plus they also provided entertainment.
Kobi was so excited he wanted to see the monkeys, elephants, hippos and the penguins. He also wanted to go on the train which we did.
It was so nice to see all the families there who have adopted children from the foster care system. We got the chance to see old friends and to make new friends. Kobi, his buddy Elijah and their new friend Christopher had a ball.
They got to go to the petting farm and feed the goats. Kobi is still talking about it today and the "accident" that the goat had.
Once again, I feel the need to preach. There are roughly about 2,200 kids in the foster care system who need a home. These children had so much fun yesterday. You could see the smiles on their faces and you could hear the laughter. They were so thankful.
We also are very thankful to Adoption Resources for all they do for these children.
Wouldn't it be fun next year if you were there with a child who needed love and a home?
