THEFT

1Seven adults were arrested for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9.

2Security personnel called police after two males stole an undisclosed amount of merchandise at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., and then fled the parking lot in a black Toyota Camry about 3 p.m. Jan. 5. Police found one of the suspect's cellphones in the parking lot.

3Police are investigating a report that a store employee processed about $3,500 worth of fraudulent cash in the optical department at Sears, 5200 S. 76th St. The matter was reported at 1:20 p.m. Jan. 8.

4A former employee stole two money bags from JC Penney, 5300 S. 76th St., while the cashier was closing and then ran out the south doors about 9:50 p.m. Jan. 8.

ASSAULT

5A man was arrested for shoplifting, disorderly conduct and battery after he physically assaulted a security officer who was attempting to detain him for shoplifting at Macy's, 5400 S. 76th St., about 8:50 p.m. Jan. 8.

DRUG POSSESSION

6A man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after he was taken into custody for shoplifting at Macy's, 5400 S. 76th St., about 8:20 p.m. Jan. 6.

OTHER

7Officers responding to a report of physical fight involving two females and five males at the 76th Street entrance to Boston Store in Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., arrested a man and a woman for disorderly conduct at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 5.

· Greendale police responded to one domestic violence call between Jan. 3 and Jan. 9.
