Police Report: April 22

THEFT

1A woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and was taken into custody for having two outstanding warrants after she was stopped for shoplifting at Kohls, 5300 S. 76th St., at 4:50 p.m. April 13.

2A $200 Dell laptop computer was stolen out of one locked vehicle and an Apple iPad Air was stolen out of a second locked vehicle parked in the rear lot at the American Legion Post, 6351 W. Grange Ave., on April 17. Windows on the vehicles were smashed to gain entry.

3Ten adults and two juveniles were arrested for shoplifting at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., between April 11 and April 17.

ASSAULT

4Greendale police are investigating a report that a 15-year-old girl had sexual contact with a male in the center court elevator at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., sometime between 5 and 6 p.m. April 13.

DRUG POSSESSION

5A man was arrested and cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, operating after suspension and no proof of insurance in the 5300 block of West College Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. April 13.

6A person was arrested and cited for possession of marijuana and operating a vehicle without a license on Parkview and Edgehill roads about 7 p.m. April 16.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

7A woman was arrested for drunken driving and cited for an unsafe lane deviation on 51st Street and Russell Drive at about 2:35 a.m. April 12. A preliminary breath test revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.21.

8A man was arrested for drunken driving in the 6300 block of West Grange Avenue at 10:50 p.m. April 17. A preliminary breath test indicated a BAC of 0.10.

VANDALISM

9A male was arrested for criminal damage to property after he was caught ripping security tags of pants at Southridge Mall, 5300 S. 76th St., at about 8:45 p.m. April 12.

OTHER

10A boy was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon in a school (state charge) at Greendale High School, 6801 Southway, at 2:50 p.m. April 11. The police report did not state what kind of weapon the student had.

11A man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he caused a disturbance at Boston Store, 5300 S. 76th St., at about 1:45 p.m. April 17.

· Five Greendale residents reported someone used their identity and Social Security number to file a fraudulent 2013 tax return between April 11 and April 17.
