Medical College to study neurological diseases

The Medical College of Wisconsin has received a $1.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Aging to better understand disturbances to neurological function caused by Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, aging, hypothyroidism and stress. Nashaat Gerges of Franklin, assistant professor of cell biology, neurobiology and anatomy at the college, is the principal investigator for the grant.

NARI chapter honors employees of year

The Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry recently honored three member-company staff members as employees of the year, including Ryan Vehring, plasterer/foreman at Creative Construction of Wisconsin, Franklin.
