Melinda Myers to Lead "Sizzling Summer Beauties" Garden Walks at Boerner Botanical Gardens on July 17 & July 23

June 28, 2013

Hales Corners, WI - Gardening expert, TV/radio host, author and columnist Melinda Myers will lead “Sizzling Summer Beauties” garden walks at Boerner Botanical Gardens, 9400 Boerner Drive in Hales Corners on July 17 and July 23, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The educational walks, hosted by the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens, are sure to revive gardeners’ spirits and give people lots of ideas for revitalizing their landscapes. “I’m excited to partner with the Gardens to help attendees find solutions for their own landscapes,” explained Myers. “In an intimate group setting we’ll showcase possible plant replacements, stress tolerant low maintenance plants, and plant combinations to give landscapes a seasonal facelift after the extreme conditions we’ve faced over the past year.”

New this year, attendees who bring a new walk participant will receive a free annual membership to the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens. Proceeds from the series will support the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens’ Children’s Plant Science and Environmental Education at Boerner Botanical Gardens.
