Greendale’s Ruby Tuesday to Host Fundraiser for Humane Milwaukee, Food-Drive for Second Harvest of Wisconsin on July 11

June 30, 2009

Ruby Tuesday restaurant at 5320 South 76th Street in Greendale is holding its Grand Opening Celebration on July 11th. Everyone is invited, so bring your friends and family. Kids under ten years old eat FREE all day.

Activities start at 11:00 am with an appearance by the Village of Greendale Fire Ladder Truck to entertain and educate kids and adults alike. From 11am until 2pm, guests will be captivated by a magician and balloon-sculptor and kids will be delighted by a face painter.

The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm with the Village of Greendale President John Hermes, Ruby Tuesday Franchise Owner Henry Laka, and Ruby Tuesday Area Director, Don Carlson.

Ruby Tuesday is hosting a fund-raiser to benefit Humane Milwaukee, (www.humanemilwaukee.org), an animal adoption center housed inside Southridge Mall in the corridor between Sears and Kohl’s. Humane Milwaukee is committed to promoting a brighter future for all companion animals within the Greater Milwaukee Area through adoption and by facilitating numerous outreach programs.

Ruby Tuesday is also hosting a food-drive for America’s Second Harvest of Wisconsin (www.secondharvestwi.org). Second Harvest is a non-profit organization that distributes food to pantries, soup kitchens, meal programs and others, serving the hungry in 36 counties in the eastern half of Wisconsin.

Guests who donate funds to Humane Milwaukee or who donate two (2) non-perishable food items to Second Harvest will receive a coupon for a free coffee or soft beverage, valid that day.

In addition to the fund-raising, food donation, entertainment, and education, Ruby Tuesday will give away items such as Frisbees and can coozies to kids and adults, while supplies last.

And all day, adults 18 and older will have the opportunity to enter an end-of-day drawing for a chance to win one of the following prizes: (1) 22” LCD HDTV/DVD Combo, (1) Bicycle, (1) 4-pack Milwaukee Brewers vs. Braves tickets for July 25th at Miller Park, and Ruby Tuesday Gift Cards, mini-golf passes, and certificates from one-of-a-kind businesses on Broad Street in downtown Greendale (WI).

Please stop by to see what Ruby Tuesday has to offer. It will be a fun time for all!
